Rodeo style 70th party

When John contacted Party Mums to discuss plans to celebrate his 70th birthday, we couldn’t wait to be involved. John wanted a big party that would provide entertainment and catering for all ages and we think with our help, he managed to do just that.

The venue was a beautiful village hall with gorgeous views across the Yorkshire countryside. The large main hall was decorated with drapes, soft up lighters and fairy lights strung across the roof. The effect was simple and elegant and in keeping with the decor, clusters of gold, silver and black balloons were placed at each table.

Guests were served a Hog Roast provided by the local butchers and the children were served chicken nuggets, pizzas and corn on the cob. Vegetarian pizzas were also provided as an option for adults too. Sweet treats included fresh fruit platters, brownies, lemon meringue, vanilla and jam cakes and a selection of vanilla and chocolate cupcakes. Delicious.

Entertainment for the party was non stop!! The children had full use of a bouncy castle from the start of the party until late into the night. An up close magician worked his way around the room and mesmerised and surprised guests for over 2 hours. A state of the art photo booth with multiple backdrops and effects provided fun for all the guests and allowed John to get some great group photos and action shots. A rodeo bull, John’s request, was installed for the evening and allowed guests to get their “yeehaw” groove on. Finally, a live band performed for guests after dinner until the end of the party, encouraging everyone to get on their feet and dance the night away. What a way to celebrate your 70th birthday!!
