Birthday's, celebrations, engagements, weddings, award ceremonies and work parties, we have them all covered

40th birthday parties, 75th birthday parties, British Empire Medal parties, work Christmas parties, Royal celebrations, posh Hen parties, jewellery parties, ladies parties – the list goes on!

There is nothing more British than a summer garden party and we located the perfect venue. Set in beautiful North Yorkshire this was one party that was going to be special, whatever the weather. Outside, a photo booth was set up under a lovely old tree, with vintage lamp shades suspended from the branches, a large picture frame and plenty of dress up props. It created a fun atmosphere and a real talking point of the party.

It’s not every day you are awarded a medal from the Queen – this surprise party would have to be very special indeed! It was decided that afternoon tea should be the theme, after all what could be more British? Refreshments included mini sandwiches, cookies, cupcakes, cake pops and obviously plenty of tea. We served everything using vintage china teapots, cups and saucers and tiered cake stands, all displayed on tables under a marquee trimmed with union jack bunting and gold crown decorations. It had the real feel of a street party. Luckily the weather behaved itself, but being a British themed party, everyone would have stayed calm and carried on.

A 75th birthday is a celebration indeed, but this party was going to be very different from any 75th party you have known before. Roy loves to spend his time in the Caribbean and who could blame him? On this occasion, the Caribbean was going to come to him. The main table was decorated using a fishing net, with starfish and shells, but the focus was definitely on the birthday cake. Two tiers of all butter vanilla sponge, covered in white chocolate ganache, decorated in an ombre blue colour, with sand and chocolate shells, topped off with a gold '75'. Matching ombre blue cupcakes either side of the cake and crates of cake pops and baskets of starfish and sand dollar cookies ensured none of the guests went hungry. Decorations included gold fringed curtains, balloons and fun beach themed inflatables for a photo booth. The highlight of the night was a 30 minute firework display, a surprise for Roy. It was such good fun, we hope Roy gives us a call for his 80th.
